– Our department received a lot of attention and praise last year for its diversity. We want to profile ourselves as a strangely cozy and versatile establishment that tourists are drawn to, says Merikarvian Kati Niittyniemi, Chairwoman of the Finnish Travel Association.

In addition to the municipality, the department includes: Merikarvian Tourism Association, Koivuniemi Farm, Kasala Café, Merikarvia River, Niittyniemi, Ouraooppera, Rauhanlaakso ja PurolomatAt the stand, the customer will encounter the river, the sea, culture, food, well-being, accommodation, activities and experiences.

“At our stand, you can participate in a river game tournament, try VR milking, or taste fish delicacies,” Niittyniemi suggests.

The municipality also sees the fair as an important opportunity. Merikarviato strengthen its awareness.

– The travel fair is a significant opportunity for us to show what Merikarvia offers both domestic tourists and foreign guests. Cooperation with local companies makes our presentation even more interesting and diverse, says Mayor Juha Vasama.
