Saturday 14.2.

  Valentine's Day at Krooka:
  
• 12-15 Valentine's Day ice fishing competition MerikarviaCome and spend Valentine's Day on the ice – alone, with friends or family! Competition fish: perch & eel, competition format: longest fish. In both series, the top 3 with the largest fish will be awarded equipment prizes worth: Adults: 1st place €300, 2nd place €200, 3rd place €100. Under 18s: 1st place €150, 2nd place €100, 3rd place €50. – 11.30 Registration begins (small stall on the ice in front of the harbor) – 11.45 Review of the rules, – 12.00–15.00 Fishing, – 15.15 Prize distribution. Participation fee: Adults €20, Under 18s €10 (incl. ice fishing set for a child), fish length measurement: You can borrow a fish tape measure from us for the duration of the competition. • 14-15pm Come and create a beautiful and communal Valentine's Day atmosphere. Freeze your own ice lantern and bring it with a candle to Krookka on Saturday from 14-15pm. A guide will be on the pier to help you put the lanterns in place. You can light the candle yourself and if you wish, you can take a picture of your lantern. Share your mood on social media and tag @visitmerikarvia

• As the evening falls, the Krookka ice rink will be lit up with ice lanterns starting at 16 p.m. - an unforgettable winter experience awaits you.

Tuesday 17.2.

• 11-16 WIBIT water obstacle course @ Rysä swimming pool. During the winter holiday week, the water obstacle course returns to the swimming pool! Come try the Wibit course and challenge yourself in a water adventure. Everyone is welcome – fun guaranteed! Price 8 € – children under 4 years old free of charge.
• 15-18 pm Nuokkari (5th grade and up)
• 16-18 pm Free for the whole family Hippo skating event. The event will feature a trick course and warm juice. Those who complete the trick course will receive a participation medal. The event will also celebrate the Finnish Ice Hockey Federation's Friends Week. @ Eumer-areena
• at 18 pm Laskiaiskokko on the Mäkipuro field, Kuninkaantie 101. Organized by Alakylä activists and Purolomat. Juice and sausages for sale at Viikilä horse farm trail riding (weather permitting)
• 17.2.-19.2. Animal Day Camp for School Children @ Koivuniemi FarmDuring the winter holiday week, children's wishes will come true at the farm - an animal day camp full of activities, learning and animal friends! Schoolchildren will get to take care of the farm's animals, practice handling pets and experience a day in the countryside under the guidance of ranchers and instructors.
