The cleaning of the bio-waste container is included in the emptying price twice a year: in spring and autumn. We aim to schedule the cleanings in connection with the container's normal emptying rhythm, but in some cases the cleaning may take place outside the normal schedule. The cleaning does not incur additional costs for the customer.

The washing of biowaste containers will start in West and North Pori. The contractors plan the washing schedules by region according to other runs, which is why the exact time of the washing cannot be announced in advance. There are a total of 9,300 containers to be washed in the Collection area.

How are garbage cans washed?

• The dishes are washed from the inside in a car wash, with the washing water collecting in the car's tank.
• The dishes are rinsed from the outside with a pressure washer, which removes the largest dirt.
• No brush or detergent is used for washing.
