Recycling Merikarvia invites you to join us – now let's put goods into circulation and ideas into life

MerikarviaWe're kicking off spring with the third ReCycling event. Merikarvia event on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10 am to 4 pm. The event will spread around Merikarviaand invites both locals and tourists to enjoy spring, exercise and the joy of recycling.

At the heart of the event is the idea that one person's unwanted item can be another person's true treasure. During the day, visitors will visit various locations, make discoveries, and give items a new life - all while getting to know each other. Merikarviaand village landscapes. Participants can move from one location to another by cycling Merikarvian along ready-made cycling routes, but you can also join on foot or by car. The most important thing is participation and a good atmosphere.

We are now looking for enthusiastic organizers to help build the event's content. This is the perfect time to clean out your closets, storage rooms, and corners – and set up your own yard sale, pop-up café, or experiential program booth.

Ideas for implementation:

  • Pancake cafe though Merikarviaby the river
  • Flea market in your own yard or outbuilding
  • Company open house and special program for the day
  • Children's own program area with games
  • Presentation of the association's activities

The boldest ideas often work best – whether it's patio karaoke, a boot toss or a fishing contest. A catchy name and a good atmosphere will make cyclists, walkers and drivers stop.

All locations will be compiled on a common event map, where you can find locations, content and opening hours. You can register even if your location is not located directly along the bike route.

The aim of the event is to encourage recycling, increase community spirit and bring Merikarviaa presented as a vibrant and hospitable tourist destination.

Organizes the event Merikarvian Tourism Association, which will provide signage to the sites to increase visibility. A WhatsApp group will also be set up for participants to share information.

Now is the time to put your goods into circulation and your ideas into use – come join us for a feel-good event!
