The technical department is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning and investments related to the municipality's buildings. The municipality's key properties include the municipal office, school centre, leisure centre Rysä, elderly care facility Kiilarinne, health centre, day care centre Wassa, Messingkimäki industrial properties, fire station, rental house Matilda, Merrycamping and Ouraluoto. The municipality owns approximately 140 properties in total.

The property managers are responsible for the maintenance of the buildings and grounds and each takes turns acting as a standby person. The standby person can be reached on the technical service hotline: 044 7246 384 at all times of the day and all days of the week.

The service manager acts as the supervisor for the task area. Ritva Nauha (vs. Service Manager Kaisu Lindholm-Lepistö 18.5.2026-31.7.2027). vs. Municipal Engineer Timo Johansson is responsible for investments, ports and piers, water and sewage system operations, and construction supervision.
