Merikarvia is a cozy coastal municipality on the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia and along Highway 8 north of Pori. The distance to Pori is about 50 kilometers and to Kristianstad about 60 km. MerikarviaSometimes called an archipelago, we have a total of almost 2000 islands. Our economic structure is focused on services and industry, with primary production also playing an important role.

There are several grocery and specialty stores in the center. We have a variety of basic services for babies to grandparents. Daycare places are offered for the youngest members of the family and care services for the oldest members. There is an elementary, middle, and high school in the center.
