Services for families with children
We work together with other actors in the region to maintain and develop the well-being of children, young people and families. Services targeted at families support parents or other guardians in securing the well-being and upbringing of children.
The child health clinic monitors the child's growth and development and discusses issues related to the family's health, well-being and parenting.
Psychologists and family counselors work in the child development and family counseling service. During the initial assessment, we discuss the situation and support needs of your family. Together, we plan and implement services that are appropriate for your situation.

Family social work
Family social work involves assessing the need for service. The assessment of the need for service is based on applications and notifications. After the assessment, a social welfare client relationship can be initiated or the investigation can be concluded. The assessment of the need for service also assesses the possible need for child welfare and, if necessary, initiates a child welfare client relationship.
Family social services include temporary home service vouchers for families with children, support persons, support families, family work, social guidance and social work. The assessment of service needs also includes advice and support. Discretionary financial support for families with children is also part of family social services.
