The man behind the Esa Eloranta songs, is known in addition to his solo career for the band Garbo. Garbo, who gained fame in the 80s, quickly became full-blooded Finnish rock classics with his songs Poika julman maan and Kuuma veri. Garbo will release a new album Viisasten kivi in ​​2023. The band, founded in 1985, is still on a strong tour. In his current solo career, Eloranta has released several full-length albums that have been widely played on the radio.

Eloranta is also known as the songwriter behind over 40 artists. Kari Tapio, Katri Helena, Matti Esko and Jorma Kääriäinen, among others, have interpreted Eloranta's songs.

At live shows, Eloranta will be heard as a solo artist in the singer-songwriter tradition. The intensive and story-filled shows consist of solo and Garbo productions as well as cover songs chosen with a sense of style, for example, classics by Springsteen, Dylan and Willie Nelson.
