SUMMER THEATRE ON THE SEASIDE

In the summer of 2026, the Ouraooppera Association will present the music-focused summer theater play SIMPAUTTAJA on the magnificent Krookka seaside stage. Merikarvialla.

The play is directed by Aa-Pee Söderdahl as usual. Timo Jauhiainen is in charge of the band, and we have the sound system to guarantee the play and music are audible. Our auditorium has numbered seats.

A mysterious man named Simpauttaja arrives in a small village. No one knows his real name or where he comes from. At the same time, the village's largest

Imppa, a young man who has just been kicked out of the house by his father, becomes a workmate for Imppa, with whom he doesn't last long.

The Playwright, also known from TV, is a play with strong rural imagery, colorful language, and cheeky humor. It is both a rogue's tale and a young man's coming-of-age story.

Come experience a time travel to the 70s with both the play and the music adapted for it, and bring a busload of friends along.
