Merikarvia Upper Secondary School is a traditional general upper secondary school that offers students a comprehensive range of courses, modern facilities and study equipment, interesting activities outside the classroom, and a strong sense of community.

We emphasize internationalization and entrepreneurship in our education. Our school has natural relationships with several foreign schools, and various international projects are undertaken annually.

The goal is for students to receive a solid foundation from our school for life and further studies, whether they continue on to universities, polytechnics, or other educational institutions.

Admission to Merikarvia Upper Secondary School is primarily through the joint application process for secondary education. The decision regarding the first phase of selected students will be communicated via the Studyinfo portal, through which the study place must also be accepted. Students may also be admitted to the school after the first phase of the joint application process and outside of it through continuous admission if there are available spots.
