Administration

Merikarviais responsible for early childhood education, preschool, basic education and upper secondary school services education board.

The administration is responsible for preparing matters within the competence of the Education Board and implementing decisions, and guides the local development of the sector in accordance with changes in national legislation. The administration collects and transmits statistical data from the areas of responsibility of early childhood education and education services to the state administration.

The administration centrally manages the sector's project activities as well as arrangements and tenders related to school transport services.
