The library provides a completely free service. You can get a library card only by providing the requested personal information. Children under 15 years of age can get a library card with the consent of a guardian. The same card can be used to borrow and Merikarvian library and all Sata libraries. The library acquires the most interesting new books for both children and adults every year. The library receives approximately 50 magazines and five printed newspapers. Comfortable reading rooms are available. The loanable collections also include films and music recordings. Regional lending is also free of charge for customers of Sata libraries. Interlibrary loans serve special information needs. Ordering an interlibrary loan is a paid service.

The library also has a local history collection and Merikarviabound annuals of the magazine, which can be studied in the library. Some of the local material can also be borrowed for home use. The library also has a free Wi-Fi client network and a photocopying service. There are also computers for the public to use the internet. The computer (and scanner) in the researcher's room is protected from the rest of the public to ensure privacy, e.g. when handling banking matters. The researcher's room can be booked separately from the library staff.

All library services are available on your first visit, as you can get a library card straight away. We also serve Merikarvian leisure residents, welcome!
