Merikarvian school center operates Merikarvian comprehensive school (grades 1-9) and Merikarviahigh school.

There are 192 students in grades 1-6 and 93 students in grades 7-9.

Merikarvian's basic education emphasizes the use of information and communication technology in teaching. The municipality provides all comprehensive school students with a personal device. The individual support students need is well taken into account in teaching. Our school's club activities have traditionally been extensive, which supports the comprehensive well-being of children and young people.

The school actively utilizes other municipal services. The sports field, artificial turf, library and ice rink are in the immediate vicinity of the school center. The leisure center Rysä has a sports and gym, a swimming pool, a shooting range and other sports facilities within walking distance.
