The Finnish Work Association's Social Enterprise Label Committee has granted Keräämö Oy the right to use the Social Enterprise label. The label is awarded to companies that solve social and environmental challenges and use the majority of their profits to promote their social goals.
The Social Enterprise label is thus a recognition of responsible, transparent and impactful business operations. “Social entrepreneurship offers a new perspective when considering the future of the Finnish welfare state. Companies that have received the Social Enterprise label build society through good values,” says Marketing Manager Niina Ollikka from the Finnish Work Association.
Keräämö Oy is a non-profit operator that develops and produces waste management services and circular economy solutions for the benefit of its residents and the environment. “We are very pleased with this recognition. The Social Enterprise label is an important indication for us that the values and goals of our operations are also trusted by outsiders. Keräämö operates extensively and non-profitably to improve waste management services for the benefit of both customers and the environment. The Social Enterprise label strengthens our identity as a responsible operator committed to sustainable development,” says Keräämö’s CEO Jaakko Nirhamo.

The collection center continuously invests in developing a circular economy, local cooperation and increasing environmental awareness. The company's services and operating models aim to reduce the amount of waste, increase the reuse of materials and improve the efficiency of waste management.
